Investigative duo project with visual artist Ellen Røed. Audiovisual experiments and workshops in Venice, Oslo, Drammen Surnadal and Stockholm.

Ellen J Røed and Bjørnar Habbestad use site-specific strategies to investigate how human agencies and technologies influence each other. The performativity of bodies, movements and instruments is brought into dialogue with found archival elements or micro-histories. Through a network of experiments, workshops and methods, the duo creates engaging audio-visual performances and installations. The repetition of generative processes, feeding material into new loops of human and technological influence, is a recurring element in their practice.
