On Playing The Flute is Bjørnar Habbestad’s first solo album, following 15 years of activity across the Norwegian contemporary music scene. Here, he fuses a broadly conceived palette of contemporary sound with rare technical and instrumental flexibility. The project is created as a tribute to the art of listening with and through an instrument. The five pieces are recorded by Lene Grenager and mixed by Bjørnar Habbestad.
